2018 Graduate Development Program
Applications are now open for the 2018 Graduate Development Program.
The Public Sector Commission is pleased to offer this graduate program to support new and aspiring leaders across the public sector. The program focuses on providing a whole-of-sector perspective, encouraging participants to consider the political, legislative, operational and policy environment in which all public sector agencies must operate.
The curriculum fosters an appreciation of the complexity, importance and breadth of the work of the sector. It embraces the 70:20:10 learning framework, combining formal workshop sessions, group work, agency site visits, networking events, agency presentations and parliament tour.
Participants will develop an appreciation of the public sector while having an opportunity to build networks with senior executives, expert practitioners and fellow aspiring leaders across the sector. The program also enables participants to build both soft and technical skills to assist in improving job efficiency and effectiveness.
Participants will work in cross-agency teams, applying both skills and knowledge learnt to present prospective innovative and collaborative ideas to a panel of senior officers on practical approaches to contemporary issues faced by an agency.
