Applications now open for the 2018 intake of Leadership essentials

Building leadership capability is vital to ensuring the public sector responds to current and emerging challenges efficiently and effectively, while delivering the best services for the State and community. Applications are now open for the Commission’s flagship leadership development program, Leadership essentials.

Leadership essentials is specifically designed to support senior managers, levels 7–9 (or equivalent), to motivate and engage high-performing teams, while confidently delivering leadership across all levels of their organisations. The intense nine-month program incorporates a range of activities designed to develop new perspectives and provide participants with:

  • an evidenced based platform to prioritise development areas for focus
  • access to outstanding public sector leaders
  • the opportunity for self-reflection
  • challenging cross-sector group work
  • further career development through professional coaching.

The Commission is pleased to offer two scholarships to support the participation of Aboriginal leaders. A scholarship is available for each the metropolitan and regional areas.
