Commission examining secondary employment
An evaluation of secondary employment controls in public authorities will be undertaken this year by the Public Sector Commission.
The evaluation will assess whether public authorities have proper systems and processes in place to effectively manage secondary employment arrangements.
As part of the evaluation, employees from a variety of authorities will be asked to share their views on how secondary employment can be managed fairly and appropriately within their own organisations.
It is anticipated findings from the evaluation will help inform strategies to drive improvement in secondary employment policies and related conflict of interest controls and practices.
