Validation and Moderation - Making the Most of Both - 1 Day Workshop

With Vivienne Scott, Principle Lecturer, Centre for Training Excellence 

This one day interactive workshop is designed for practising assessors and those responsible for the quality of assessment practice and its documentation.  Learn more about the development, contextualisation and validation of assessment tools. Explore ways to make the most of the outcomes of validation and moderation. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring at least one assessment item from their RTO as they will have the opportunity to participate in a validation exercise.

Audience:

This course is suitable for lecturers, teachers, trainers, managers and those responsible for the quality of assessment practice.

About the Facilitator:

Vivienne represented WA on the National Collaborative Assessors Network to ensure the National consistency of assessment throughout Australia. She has a very high profile in the VET sector and is highly regarded by peers throughout the country. At Central Institute of Technology, Vivienne has held many positions to include Lecturer, Advanced Skills Lecturer, Principal Lecturer, internal Staff Development Trainer, Quality Auditor and Academic Quality Consultant.  As Principal Lecturer for strategic off shore projects, Vivienne has assisted organisations in China and India to adopt the Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector training model and systems. She has provided quality assurance advice to partner organisaitons in China and India and delivered TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment both on and off shore to master trainers from both countries.

As Central’s Quality Consultant Vivienne coordinated and lead Central’s internal quality audit team and provided quality advice to lecturers on the design of training and assessment ensuring that these products meet the needs of student and industry.

Vivienne has a Bachelor of Psychology from Curtin University and a Graduate Diploma in Vocational Education and Training from Charles Sturt University.
