Event outline

Budgets and forecasts are key tools for the management of all organisational operations and finances. If you are responsible for budgets and reporting on comparisons between budgets and performance, this workshop style course will guide you through the process and help you develop more confidence in your approach to budgeting.

  • Introduction to management accounting
  • Brief overview of profit and loss, balance sheets and cash flow statements
  • Introduction to planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Profit budget
  • Sales forecasting
  • Direct versus indirect costs
  • Variable versus fixed costs
  • Cash flow forecast
  • Brief overview of capital budgeting
  • Key ratios and basic financial analysis against budgets

This course is designed for:
All employees with responsibility for budgets and forecasts who want to further develop their understanding of these management tools.

What will I need to bring?
Nothing. CCI will supply all course material for you to confidently complete your training. CCI will also supply morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch at one of our preferred external venues. (Please advise our staff of any special dietary requirements five working days prior to the commencement of the course.)

Parking Details:
Limited parking may be available in the CCI building. Additional parking is available at Nelson Crescent car park off Plain Street (behind Queens Gardens). There is also a free Red Cat Bus that stops outside the CCI building - please alight at Stop 29: Queens Gardens.
