The Commissioner for Children and Young People is hosting a free seminar presented by Dr Meredith Kiraly, an internationally-renowned psychologist with more than thirty years’ experience in child and family welfare. Dr Kiraly is a Senior Research Fellow at the Social Work Department at the University of Melbourne and has a small consultancy in human services.

Dr Kiraly’s numerous research projects, publications and consultancies cover a range of human service areas with a focus on vulnerable children and families, and out-of-home care, with a strong emphasis on children’s rights. 

Dr Kiraly specialises in kinship care, with her current research projects focused on community kinship care and care provided by young adults, such as siblings and aunts/uncles.
