PSC/ANZSOG Leadership Seminar with Dr Scott Douglas

Public Sector Commission

Event outline

Registration, networking and breakfast 9.00am | Seminar 9.30am to 10.30am

In volatile and uncertain times, with heightened public accountability, loss of trust in institutions and skeptical and empowered citizens, the need to build good governance is greater than ever. So why is so much attention devoted to failing policies, wasted public money, poor leadership and declining institutions? This seminar is designed to help us build a rigorous and systematic approach to ‘success’ in the 21st century, giving us new heart and new tools to learn and adapt what works.

Successful Governance: Good news from around the world

This is an exceptional opportunity for collaborative learning with Dr Douglas, an active public sector advisor whose research focuses on the changing definition of governance success with particular focus on the use of performance management in collaborative networks.

Please join us for a lively and interactive conversation about understanding and learning from the best.

Before coming we encourage you to reflect on some of your own Agency’s success stories, particularly projects or policy approaches that required effective collaboration across organisations. What worked and why?

This event is FREE for WA state public sector employees.
