Public Interest Disclosure Information Session - REGIONAL

Public Sector Commission

Event outline

The Public Sector Commission is pleased to present free Public Interest Disclosure (PID) Act  information sessions in regional WA over 2013 – 2014.

So, what is the PID Act I hear you say? The PID Act aims to ensure openness and accountability in government by encouraging people to make disclosures - or whistleblowing - and protecting them when they do.

The PID Act enables people to make disclosures about wrongdoing within the State public sector, local government and public universities without fear of reprisal.

General Information Session

This one hour information session is open to all employees of the public sector, local government and public universities. It will provide you with a good working knowledge and an understanding of the benefits to you of the PID Act, as well as highlight its value to your workplace.

This session is ideal for managers, supervisors, human resource officers or people who have responsibility for sustaining and maintaining the integrity of the public body.

The sessions are provided free of charge.  There are a maximum number of people who can attend each session and places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
