Public Sector Commission: Managing Workplace Behaviour - REGIONAL
Choosing the correct path is an important first step in ensuring you end up at your desired destination.
This principle applies when dealing with behavior in the workplace that is difficult, problematic or unwanted. There are often sign posts along the way that Managers and HR Practitioners can look out for to ensure they are indeed on the right path to resolving workplace issues.
Public sector managers, human resources staff and other senior officers often have the difficult task of managing issues and concerns arising in relation to inappropriate or unwanted workplace behaviour. Given the complexity of the various issues involved with this behaviour, confusion may arise as to which is the most appropriate process or pathway for dealing with particular behavioural issues. Can it be better handled through a performance management process, as a grievance or is it a conduct issue?
Rather than detailing how to conduct each process, this session provides guidance when deciding which process to use in particular circumstances.
This 1 ½ hour session is ideal for managers, supervisors, human resource officers or people who have responsibility for sustaining and maintaining the integrity of the public body.
The sessions are provided FREE of charge. There are a maximum number of people who can attend each session and places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
