The Public Sector Commission is pleased to invite you to our new workshop - Recruiting for integrity in the WA Public Sector.
There are a number of ethical situations that selection panel members may face when assessing and selecting a person to fill a vacancy. The integrity risks to your agency and the potential damage to your agency’s reputation as an employer of choice are just some of the likely consequences of poor employment decisions.
When trying to find the right person from a large applicant field, we can sometimes be tempted to take short cuts in the selection process. We will look at and learn from a well-known case study.
This workshop will provide participants with practical guidance in effectively managing key risk areas for recruitment in the public sector. The workshop will cover:
- the selection panel’s role in effectively managing ethical dilemmas in recruitment
- emerging integrity risk areas in recruitment
- managing and minimising risks to compliance with the Employment Standard
This 1 ½ hour workshop is for public sector Human Resource Practitioners, Managers and people involved in recruitment processes and appointment decisions for their public sector agency.
The sessions are provided FREE of charge. There are a maximum number of people who can attend each session and places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
